If the BRC wired remote controller is used it needs to be configured as the MAIN P1P2 device (and RTD10 will then configure itself as P1P2 SUB). The indoor unit's Field Setting 12(22)-5 will determine whether the unit is restarted.
If no BRC wired remote controller is used then the RTD-10 is the MAIN P1P2 device by default. In this case S6 needs to be connected such that On/Off is locked (Standard Resistance mode: any resistance value <~ 5 kOhm; Standard Voltage mode: any Voltage value <~ 6.5 V). This would lock the respective parameters on the remote controller if it were connected. As no Remote Controller is connected this does not influence control via S-inputs.
