3rd party thermistors cannot be wired to the P1P2 remote controller network, unless confirmed by Daikin, including that they are compatible to the standard remote controller.
If a 3rd party thermistor output can be mapped to the RTD's setpoint Voltage/resistance table (see the respective RTD installation instructions) of the hardwire S-inputs then the 3rd party thermistor could be used to control the indoor unit's parameters.
The RTD interface S-inputs used could be
- RTD-10: S1
- RTD-20: S1/S2
- RTD-W: S1/S2
- RTD-LT/CA: S1/S2/S3/S6
Please contact Daikin Technical Support if you need further information about their thermistor.
Note that monitoring temperatures with 3rd party sensors is not possible with the RTD: Sensors can't be wired to the RTD interfaces and then be read e.g. via Modbus.
Controlling the supply temperature based on 3rd party sensors is only possible in the case of AHUs - for further information see: RTD-20 ERQ mode for Air Handling Units (AHU).
