The RTD-10 can be configured to operate in a Duty/Standby configuration suitable for IT and Telecoms applications. An RTD-10 master together with up to 7 RTD-10 slaves can be configured to operate in a rotating duty/standby configuration.
- In this operation mode the indoor unit mode is set to COOL (heating is not possible in this mode).
- A minimum of 2 RTD interfaces (only: RTD-10; and RTD-RA if required by indoor unit) is required.
- A maximum of 8 RTD interfaces (only: RTD-10; and RTD-RA if required by indoor unit) is possible.
- Up to 16 indoor units can be wired to 1 RTD-10 interface (group control).
- If a RTD-10 interface goes into standby mode then the whole group of indoor units connected to it go into standby mode.
- The Duty/Standby master must be a RTD-10 interface.
- Of all RTDs in this Duty/Standby network 1 or 2 RTDs will run in standby mode (depends on settings - see master RTD-10 DIP switch settings in article Duty/Standby DIP Switch Settings).
- Note that the rotation sequence cannot be configured.
- Relays are configured to signal Level 1 and Level 2 alarms, as opposed to Run and Fault signals in RTD-10 Standard operation mode (see details in article RTD-10 Duty/Standby alarms).
- Remote controllers are locked (see attached installation instructions and in article RTD-10 Duty/Standby mode: Installation Instructions).
- If wired, the remote controllers should display fault code in case of fault, as well as indoor unit's current status (we recommend contacting Daikin technical support for further information on the display of the remote controller) .
For further details see the attached installation instructions.
