The FDP3 interfaces (FDP3-BMS, FDP3-Modbus and their variants) don't need to be placed directly next to the indoor unit.
For information about the maximum distance from the indoor unit, i.e. the maximum allowed lenght of the TCC AB wires, please contact Toshiba Technical Support, as they know the technical specifications of the TCC AB network.
